___Haujobb - Few people can pronounce it properly. Even fewer know it's original meaning... Recently this group has not only stroked us with an unusual name, but also with a high number of quality releases. Insomnia took a closer look...___This team has been part of the Amiga scene for several years now, but they have always stayed average. Considering the fact that they have had very talented members from the beginning on, they always had the potential to be on top though. Productions like "Jammin'" and "Burning Chrome" or the chip-magazine "Friendchip" proved this. But despite of all these releases, they never managed to break through, only to get respected and to get positive response.___After some time, the original members of Haujobb got more and more inactive. People like Peachy, Wave and Fastjack, who were responsible for the early quality releases, practically disappeared from the scene. This was when Jazz made up his mind and started to build up the new Haujobb as he suddenly found himself to be the more or less the only active member left. During 1997 he was able to gather a lot of mostly unknown sceners in his team, which then evolved to a very powerful Amiga demo group throughout the year. They have released an intro on almost every party, which led to a big increase of popularity and found it's climax when they entered the competitions at The Party 1997 with two demos and an intro. Though one of the demos was not shown (Another error by The Party's organizer's. -Ed.) and the other one was a cooperation with Sccopex, it surely showed off the potential that lies dormant in this team.___We asked two sceners, who are part of the new Haujobb, what motivated them to join this group and to keep working so hard for them...___Muffler, one of the most active musicians right now has released lot's of modules in recent Haujobb intros and is also responsible for some of the music in "My Kingdom", their demo from TP '97:___"The reason why I joined Haujobb about one year ago? It was simply because Jazz asked me to join because they were in need of musicians. It's actually quite funny to be a member of this group - We have nice Finnish section here - I must admit it feels like home to me..."___Leunam, the Spanish graphician, has a similar story to tell:___"I really didn't want to join another group, because we were active in Network, but when Jazz asked me to help them out with some graphics for a production, I
just couldn't refuse because Jazz is a terrific guy. I was quite surprised by his great friendship after I had interviewed him for Trashcan." (If you want to know why Leunam now suddenly got tired of Haujobb, read the full-featured story in our news section. -Ed.)___It's rather obvious that both guys only joined Haujobb because of Jazz, so we probably can give him full credits for the successful re-birth of this group. We are all curious how it will develop during the next months - Whether they can keep up the activity and high standard or if they will be stroken by the syndrome commonly referred to as "laziness". Only time will tell...___What is sure though, is that Haujobb is one of the absolute winners of 1997. We wish them luck in the new year...Xby Grey (c) Insomnia'98
